I had originally had plans to restore my dash on my 67 Cutlass. But when I removed it I found that most all of the mounting points had either broken off or where servery cracked. I did not want to try find another 44 year old dash or attempt a restoration of it.

So I decided to have a brushed stainless steel insert made to replace the plastic dash. http://haneline.com did the work. They did a great job with fabricating this new panel. Especially the end pieces that fill the gaps on the left and right side of the dash.

I wanted some type of resemblance to the factory setup. I found the new Dakota Digital VHX Analog gauges http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...rod&prd726.htm had the right look and had all the gauges I needed and then some.

Sorry about the quality of the photos. It's hard getting a good shot using the flash. To the naked eye they have the same finish you seen on most stainless steel kitchen appliances.

 

That is REALLY cool!!! I like it far better than stock. It looks modern and retro at the same time. Great job!
