So I have a 65 cutlass and picked up a rear seat and also found a pair of the arm rest on eBay. Im piecing everything together since the car didn’t have interior. As of now I’m looking at either procar or tmi seats. I prefer the tmi. I found a great deal On the seats I like but they are a Chevy red so I’m trying to find out what is the comparable rear seat for a 65 cutlass. From my research it looks like the 65 rear seat is the same width as the 70-72 chevelle. I know I’m probably making this harder then it has to be. Any help would be great thanks.
You stated you already have a rear seat frame. Just get it reupholstered to match.
I already ordered the front seat and covers from tmi . It’s not too much work I’m will to pay for from a shop. The cost for the covers was $250 because it was on clearance so total for everything was $2300. I’m good now. Thanks.
I’ve never heard that 70 rear seats will fit a 65.
And 65’s had 3 different rear seats…convertible, holiday(w/ arm rests) and club coupe
im not sure if many people are interested in finding out. I didn’t want factory replacements. The rear seat I have is around 52 inches wide top and bottom since I have the arm rest. That’s close to the width of the 70-72 chevelle that had arm rest as well. Couldn’t find enough info about the depth but for the price I got the covers for I’m going to give it a shot. Another way I could have done it would be to try to match tmi colors to the factory metallic red but the color didn’t work with me. I will update once covers are here
