58 olds door panels

Yea Gidday from NZ
would luv to see some door panel pics of your 58 Olds dynamic 4dr
with manual windows please .....dont think mine look quite right

Should this have an insert in it as well 🤔🤔

These look toooo far away from card 🤔🤔🤔

You might add a vapor barrier/ sound deadener (treated cardboard) as spacer behind the door cards if you cant find anything else. My 55 vinyl is tight against the door handles to the point you have to be careful not to catch it with the spring removal tool. A lot of differences between a 55 and a 58 so what you have maybe correct. I also have a clear plastic washer between the door handle and door card that protects the card from abrasion during turning of the that I don't see on your door..... Tedd

great info thanks🤔 didnt think I should be able ta see the spring... looks like our cards have been made out of 3mm plastic sheet

thanks for the pics ...exactly what I was looking for ....will grab a handfull of monies and pop round and see the upholsterer ...did the back ones have same cream insert 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

There is usually a coil spring behind the card on the stem of the window or door handle shaft. Depending on what series of Olds you have (88, S88, 98) would determine the interior style, pattern and fabric you would get in the original car. Quite a bit of difference. Plane jane to pretty plush.

have some of those coil springs coming from fusick as some are missing ...( got some oh poo clips coming as well....oh poo where did that go 😁&#128513 does that spring push on the card or the handle ...at the moment the big end is on the handle 🤔🤔🤔

The small end goes against the door and large end to the card. Takes a bit of fussing to hold the spring in place and fit the card. Helps to have a lot of fingers.
