1972 Cutlass sail panel/corner trim piece issue?

I have installed the Legendary headliner in my '72 Cutlass 442 with OK results. It will do! Now I'm installing the pinch moldings, trim pieces and the light, rearview mirror and sun visors. I have most of it done back to the sail panels and the two little trim pieces at the back where the lower back window meets the new package tray. I'm having a hard time getting the pinch molding on where the top of the sail panel is up against the rear window. looks like the last foot or so of the pinch molding. This also causes the little corner trim piece but the package tray to not be able to screw in. I can't seem to get that pinch molding to go over that last foot of sail panel and I think that is causing my issue with the trim piece screw not lining up with the hole. I just can't seem to get enough leverage to pop that on since the window is in and it tapers down to nothing in that space. Any ideas or experience is welcome. I guess I'm too old and too big to get my **** in close enough! So close but so far away. I want to get this done so I can move on to sound deadener and new carpet install! See photo below:

I'm taking a few days off from the sail panels to give my body and brain a rest.

I'm working on the front seat area sound deadener. Using KilMat!

Well, I got the right and left hand sides in for now. I'm not 100 % happy with either side but they are good enough to allow me to move on to the carpet and interior panel and seat installation. I'll have my son use his smaller/younger stature to re-evaluate the pinch molding and the two trim pieces whenever he comes up next from Denver!
