I'm looking for someone else who has a '68, Jade Gold exterior, Willow Gold interior. Could you please post a picture of your dashboard?
On mine, the Dashpad and metal dash areas are a Dark Green/Gold color. I was going to paint the metal part as I have the glorious key chain swing bald spot. I had a local paint company color match my dash (of course it was a fortune for just a pint of the paint) and mix me up a pint. I then went to clean the dash with alcohol prior to some sanding with 600 grit, and what happens? The alcohol takes the Dark Green/Gold paint off, revealing what appears to be Willow Gold paint on the metal dash.

I have a "Chart" Paint & Trim Specifications" from '68 that I got from the old Oldsmobile Historical Center (or whatever it was called). On that, for a Willow Gold interior, it calls out "Upper Inst. Panel", "Lower Inst. Panel" to be Dark Gold Metallic W-3722. Needless to say, I am very confused as to why mine would be Willow Gold underneath.
Any help is appreciated.

my opinion..... ias i don't know for sure.
to me, the "upper and lower instrument panel" would be the dash pad and the plastic insert/glove box door. not the upper and lower metal parts of the dash.
maybe it's the pic, but it looks like there's dark green paint on the wiring harness. so that tells me it's been painted the wrong color at some point in time, and the willow gold is correct.

No, the plastic insert is called out separately (it is the "Inst. Panel Control Panel") and is listed as "Black" (along with the Glove Box Door and Ash Tray Door), which is correct. I believe the Dash Pad is called out as the "Safety Pad (Molded Vinyl)."
It also looks to me like the original color of the metal dash was Willow Gold, but that runs counter to my documentation, unless "DK. GOLD" does not mean Dark Gold. That's why I would love to see an original Jade Gold/Willow Gold car dash.
