1967 Delta 88 Interior interchange

hey guys,

i'm restoring my delta 88 and the interior, door panel and seats need to be replaced or rebuild for sure. Since there is no reproduction of the original ones I'm wondering if I can use panels and seat covers from the impala. When I compare pictures I really think it could work, but before I start ordering parts it would be nice to know what y'all think. Somebody any experience?

Thanks

you are right - There is nothing aftermarket for us B-body olds guys at all -- I know because I too have a '67 delta 88 and a 1973 -- on the '73 I did all of the prep work the door panels and let my trimmer do the rest, taking them back to better than new, -- but at a cost --

The door panels and seat covers should fit, but obviously, the pattern would be different. Dash stuff wouldn't work. If the pattern doesn't matter, go for it.

Thanks a lot for your replies. I know, the pattern wouldn't fit, and I actually like the pattern.

I'm located in Houston.

At least Kanter offers seat covers for the delta, but I don't know if they match the existing interior. If yes, I could do the seats myself and get only the door panels done at a upholstery shop. Hmmm....

I'd check around for a good upholstery shop and have them make up new covers for you, using the originals as patterns. It shouldn't really cost much more than buying the repop upholstery kit and paying for installation. Just make sure the shop has a reputation for quality work and talk to some prior customers for their experiences with the shop before you lay your money down. Check for complaints with the BBB, too. In other words, do your homework.

By the way, some interior parts will cross between equivalent models of Pontiac and Olds. Headliner, carpets, armrests, package shelf, etc.
I bought those parts from Ames Pontiac for my 67 Delmont.
