1965 Cutlass 442 Bucket Seat Tracks
1965 Cutlass 442 Bucket Seat Tracks
I am trying to convert my 65 Cutlass from a bench seat to bucket seats and a console for auto trans. I bought a pair of buckets on ebay and they are the correct year, but they are from a Chevy, possibly a Corvair. I have them mounted but they seem too close togeather for the console to fit. The outside track is bolted into the factory floor holes, but the inside track seems incorrect. I bought the bucket seat conversion brackets but they do not bolt onto my inside seat tracks. They look like they would bolt to my outside tracks, which is what I think my inside track should look like but my inside tracks are way to short. The adjusters do not accept a chrome ****.So, I am trying to find the correct seat tracks but all I can find are reproductions that fit 66-72 models. Does anyone know if these tracks would work on a 64-65 and what the difference is? I don't much care if the **** is different, but the seats need to be in the proper location. If these won't work does anyone know where I can get a set of tracks that would be correct for my Cutlass. Thanks,
Cousin Gary
