69 H/O for sale

Here's one fer sale.

Cameo White and I have been looking at this car but we really don't know anything about it.

IMHO repeat IMHO it looks like it might of had some work done on the front end because it has the Olds Script on the hood that is only found on the Cutlass.

But I dunno

As the say,

Yeah, the hood's been replaced. On the other hand, he claims to have ALL the correct parts. OH trans, D heads, correct intake, air cleaner, mirrors. The headrests appear to have been repainted, however.

Unrestored but not unmolested, something doesn't smell right. I would check that car out good before pulling the trigger. The hood being changed does makes you wonder what happened to the old one, why leave that script if you have any idea of what the car is supposed to be? May be buying his mistake, the description is short and a little strange too.
If you look at the front view of the engine something funny's going on with the pinch weld at the top of the cowl on the driver's side. The trim at the bottom of the windshield is loose on the driver's side, screws aren't there, few other things. It could have been in a wreck but you never know until you see them up close and personal. I could be totally wrong but but my spidey senses are tingling.

I have to go to church now and ask the priest to translate that Latin after the first two words Jamesbo.

I don't know, I've got a bunch of A-body cars and the pinchweld gets dinged up over the years. The car has obviously been repainted - look at the red primer on the screen on the cowl. I suspect you'll find welded trim holes on the front fenders, since the front end has been replaced. Yeah, it's probably been hit.

Question

The engine block has been confirmed as a replacement.
Can anyone confirm the VIN to be legit?

It's two separate lists, side by side. Go to no. 21 on the LH side then read all the way across.

"What we have here is a failure to communicate." [spoken like a red neck prison warden]

The car [according to the site] is 69 H/O # 188.

There are SOME 69 H/O's that the origional owner order the name plate for the dash that could be another number. [a.k.a. Hurst #] George's was number 3. That number depends on when the owner ask for the name plate. But the Hurst name plate number is not necessary to prove it is the real banana.
