Tachometer

Hello all. Because the numbers on my '75 H/O tach do not show completely, I am assuming that, perhaps, a few of the tiny bulbs are burned out. Since I don't show the car, can I replace the tach with a more readable one using the existing wires?

Thanks...wazoo

Personally I would try to have the bulbs replaced and see how that does first...

As you may or may not know, whatever you do, those Digital Tach's are highly coveted so don't just get rid of it, save it for repair or sell it, they go for good money.

tach repair

Hello...Thanks for the mild admonishment. I was expecting worse!...My problem is finding the right company to send it to knowing full well that they are coveted. Any ideas on the topic are much appreciated....wazoo

This thing is digital? Never saw one - i thought you were referring to the night light bulbs...
I am sure a speedometer service place might be able to say whether they can work on it or not.
Have a picture??

digital tach

Lady72,

Therein lies the problem. I have contacted two out-of-state companies that state they can work on them. Both say, " Well, its a digital tach, hmm...never heard of that....but, just send it to us and we'll see what what's up." Somehow, I don't think I'de see the tach again.

So, in the interim, I was wondering if I can attach a period Borg Warner(sp?) to the wires powering the digital tach?

Thanks...wazoo
