Looking for a particular mid 70's H/O
When I bought my car it was missing the engine and tranny (and a lot of other stuff). As I was searching for a motor I happened on a gentlemen in the Boston area that had previousy owned the car. He had bought it in the mid 90's without a motor or tranny and had basically parted it out. Later it was sold to a succession of kids who took what was left of it apart which was the way I bought it.
Anyway, the guy knew a little about the history of my car. He told me the original 400G engine block and maybe standard tranny were in a mid seventies Hurst/Olds in the Boston area. He couldn't say for sure the H/O was a stick but he did know for sure was that the 400G was mated to B heads. Kind of an odd combination.
So anyway, I've always held out a little hope of finding the original block. If anyone knows of such a creature shoot me a PM or e-mail & I'll give you the engine pad stamp #.
I know, needle in a haystack.
