bunch of HO 1969 parts:

D heads- Used to be $5000 pair, more like $2000 nowadays

HO intake - yeah, right [EXCEEDINGLY scarce]. Get the exact casting number. J-398662 $100 or two; J-405233: several thousand dollars probably.

manifolds - repro's are $300-400 a set so unless PERFECT, maybe 300

distributer - exact number and date matter greatly. I will guesstimate as much as $1000 for the ultimate one.

complete motor minus the carb and aircleaner,
motor spins free and needs a rebuid as he drove it everyday and stacked up the miles.
Red paint on motor is still visible and chrome on covers is flaking..

Not sure but there's an OH trans that is NOT Hurst/Olds- maybe it's 1968. Ck the VIN stamp, maybe the h/o owner is looking for trans and engine.


and the original hurst shifter and cover - I'll guess hundreds with the cable and everything.

five chrome and silver HO 15" wheels - Several hundred

spoiler and hood scoop... - several hundred $

glove box lid with HO emblem - a few bucks, maybe 100 or 200

broken HO scoop with markings, and also another complete oem scoop that he had found - a few more hundred.

The exact casting on that intake will be the money shot
There should be a "J" in the depression at the front, but there are two "J" manifolds. The 6-digit number ID is atop, aft of the carb.

If you could find a 69 S or a 442 shell,
you could really have a wolf in sheeps
clothing so to speak. That would be nice
to keep the drivetrain all together in one car.

Those intakes are not easy to find.

Ilooked at your posting a EBAY. You showthe carb.and give the number as 7029254 That is not the right carb. for the 69 ho the the carb they use on all 69 HO's is 7029251 a very comon carb. Here is the good news the 7029254 carb is for a 400 W30 ram air car a much more valuable carburator. I hope thishelps you out

What probably happen is the original owner had touble with his original carb. So the dealer put a replacement carb. on the car. They never look at the number. what ever carb. they get in they put on. Thats what happened to my car, my replacement carb. is for a 69 400 4 speed car 7029253. Both our carbs. are much rarer than the 7029251.

correct...carb is not for a 69 H/O.

 

Just remember your carb. is much rarer than the right one. You should be able to get more $$$ for yours.

Can you re-ck that carb?

in the pic above, I saw, and still see, "29251 RJ..."

I have seen a few '9254 carbs, but every one has always been
7029254
with none at all
29254

Whereas among the '9251 carbs I have seen, most by far were
7029251
with a few [like 2 or three seen anywhere, ever] with the shorter
29251

How do the dates line up?
I'd like to see the date codes from

Block
Heads
Intake
Water pump
exhaust manifolds
etc.

D/C for the heads is on the underside toward the intake.

The blocks julian date is next to the distributor on on pass side.

 

That's a 29251 carb IMO. The picture makes the final 1 look a little funny. Not all the PN strikes on these things were perfect.

 

Cameo is correct. That's a correct carb for an H/O. And it being correct means it's actually more valuable to the package than a 254 carb would be, if that makes any sense. Cuz then u'd have to ditch the 254 and find a 251.
