1969 Hurst/Olds Dealership listing & Advertising
So I've been a geek collecting stuff for years, ad's, literature, documentation, etc, probably like most of us.
I've collected a fairly good listing of 1969 Hurst/Olds dealerships via various resources and added a new page to my website with the current listing and other ad examples.
Check out the 'Dealerships' link on the web page for the listing and other advertising content.
I've also updated new 1969 Hurst/Olds news articles in the 'Media' link.
I've been collecting it for years and have been thinking I should get more of it out there, does no good on my shelfs or sitting on my hard drive really if I'm the only one enjoying it.
If you are a 1969 H/O owner and know your dealership, look for it in the listing and see if I have an ad example attached to it.

I worked at McCoy Oldsmobile, formerly Yates Oldsmobile, in St. Louis during the 1970s - early 80s. I remember seeing a couple of ‘69 Hurst Olds in the shop for service in addition to W cars. It was quite the time to be a supercar enthusiast!
I can't vouch for other cars, but the center bottom plate between the grilles behind the bumper center kickup was originally black on mine as well, but I've heard that may or may not be the case on all cars. Not sure how true that is, but that's all I got to add to that.
I've never met a guy who was an engineer or a line worker or someone else in a car factory who values the stickers and wax pencil marks. Once the car drives out, their job is done. I'd much rather over-restore and paint things correctly.
That’s Funny I live in Wichita and my H/O was delivered to a dealership in Virginia Beach. I was not lucky enough to be able to get a Wichita delivered car. However I am lucky enough to get an early 69 H/O. Let alone an H/O period. 😁😁😁😁
For example, you mentioned the dealer in Virginia Beach that I was going to ask you about.
What is that dealers name where it was first sold new?
Thanks!
Back in 2008 I was corresponding with an individual who had the opportunity to buy the car, the pic's where from back then.
At that point it had been sitting for about 20+ years as is. I believe the individual was from Missouri and the car was still somewhere in the Quincy, IL area.
Unfortunately I lost track of the individual, not sure if they picked it up or not.

There are definitely more, when I run across items I update the best I can. I have an update to the list I'll toss up today.
