Aluminum 215 V8 crankshaft question......

Anyone know if the aluminum 215 V8 crankshafts are all predrilled for a manual transmission pilot bushing? Before I pull the trigger on buying a 62 that has a 4 speed, that I'd like to replace my current automatic with in my 63 Cutlass, I'd like to know if crankshaft work is going to be needed. Info is hard to come by one these great little unappreciated Oldsmobiles......

Oddly enough I just found my answer on the "British V8" forum. The cranks are drilled, a GM pilot bushing turned down to 1.050 OD is a perfect fit.

Not really that odd. That forum covers all BOPR (Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Rover) aluminum V8s and is probably the best repository of 215 info on the web. That's also where I got my nearly new D&D repro manual trans bellhousing for a smokin price.
