What year did they stop using cowl tags? I've looked under the hood of my 85 delta 88 and didnt see one, its a bit dirty in there I'll give it a cleaning and see what I find if anything, but back to my main question When did they stop using cowl tags because I've googled and can't find any info for my year. Thanks in advance guys!!

 

My oldest Olds is the 1984 Custom Cruiser and it does have a cowl tag. Interestingly, 1985 was the first year for the SPID sticker in the trunk or glove box, so maybe that's the transition point.

 

My 84 Cutlass had the sticker in the trunk.
