Rochester Carburetors

What is the correct Rochester Carburetor for a 1965 starfire with a 425 cu. in. engine, and how do you identify it.

Rochester 4-jet. Symmetrical throttle bore pattern, with rears (secondaries) slightly bigger than front (primaries). Four brass tube bowl vents converging to the center of the air horn.

Adding to what Rund said, the Rochester 4-Jet is also known as the "4GC". There will be slight differences depending on whether the car has AC, or if its a 4 speed vs auto...but a 1965 4GC from any 425 equipped car should do you fine. Will geneerlly look very much like the '65 442 carb depicted below (it can also be "identified" by its poor part-throttle response).

The green arrows in the "from-below" view show are for plugs that allow access to the main jets; such plugs are NOT present on the non-442 carbs, though I'll bet a 442 carb would also work quite well (prolly won't find one in any event).
