Delco Moraine brake shoe part#
Delco Moraine brake shoe part#
I have access to a set of delco moraine brake shoes part#5462488. Im trying to see if they are correct for a 1970 442 rear brake shoes? I can't cross that # with anything and local GM dealer doesn't go back that far. Are these correct and if not which # is correct? Where can I cross that number?
Thx
Thx
I can't run down that #, and I have deep resources. It could be the wrong #, no such#, a transposed #, hard to say. Here's what you need to know. As far as I know, original shoes were always riveted. GM would sell several shoes, usually one size, then a +.030 size (different #'s). Some times for hi-po's they had a different shoe #, I assume they were different compounds. Then you had "Delco" shoes, too. Those were a different number completely, unlike a part number. I can spit numbers from an early Olds catalog, 4spd, posi, hi-po rear, W-car? It really depends how fussy you are. Were you at the GMO show in Lancaster yesterday? Kind of wanted to meet you, but with all the rain I was holed up in my car. It was the triple black GS 455 'vert.
Thx I thought about going and wanted to see the cars and peeps but the wx looked ominous? I decided to spend some time on car so maybe I can be at the show someday showing my car......and yard work.
I know they are 9-1/2" and some B body cars are 9" I can't get my hands on them unless I buy them. That number is printed on the shoe.
What Delco moraine # should I be looking for 1970 442 rear shoes?
