Older Parts Manuals
Hello all,
I am running into this more and more. I have the "newer" set of Oldsmobile parts manuals, dated April 1983. These do not list all the parts for our cars. Can someone please tell me where I can get a digital copy or at least a paper copy of the older parts manuals? Are there multiple printings? If so, what printing would be best for my 71 cars?

The 72 manual is also on http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/cgi-b...plate.cgi?id=8 but you have to be a member. I found it easier to use. If you have 63 and older then one was posted here on CO that you can download and it is a really good one.

just bought a few..
I just went through this, I bought mine on ebay, from SANPACE I eneded up buying one that was printed in 75 as well as one that was printed in 1970 it isn't cheap as well as getting the stock parts catalogue.... that said each order was two phonebook size books except the master parts... you can never have too much info ... I see there are dvds cheaper though

Yes, June 1972 printing. I could be wrong but I think that is even available without a membership. Here is the link to that spot, Just have to try it. There is a 79 printing also but the first two are 72

68-69 400 cu in with OAI shows 230612. 68 Hurst with CAC also shows 230612, even though we know that the W-30 got D heads and the 68 H/O with A/C got C heads.
68 H/O without A/C, all 69 H/O, and all 1970 4400 with OAI (ie, W-30s) show 230897, even though we know that the 68-69 H/Os should have had D heads and the 70 W-30 should have F heads.
One other interesting tidbit is the two irrigation motor heads with with the "hard iron valve inserts".
