Good Morning, Can someone tell me if the ONE WAY, FOLD DOWN rear bumpers for '68-'72 Vista Cruiser's are the same.

Thanks

The parts book actually lists three different part numbers for rear bumper with single-acting tailgate. Note that Vista and flattop wagon bumpers are the same.

68-69 is P/N 403146
70 is P/N 404399
71-72 is P/N 404473 - note that this is the same P/N as 1970 with dual-acting tailgate, so apparently the 71-72 cars all got the same bumper either way.

And just for completeness, the 1969 with dual-acting tailgate is 403078.

Thanks Joe, there's one that got relisted on ebay as a 1970 from last week. I thought if it fit a '68 it would be nice to have a decent spare.

Joe, I recall the C28 Drop or Swing Tailgate became standard for at least the Vista Cruisers in 1971. That may explain why the 71-72 part number is the same as for the 1970 with C28.

What do you guys think? I have a single action drop down. Are all the single action the same even though the part number is different? I would love to have it for a spare.
