1967 442 heater core ??

1967 442 heater core ??

Hi, looks like our heater core has gone south on us on our 67 olds 442 ive been looking around for one, there's seems to be a few to pick from, they range from 50.00 to 130.00 i really would like a good quality one not afraid to spend the xtra money, i just would like a good quality one, does anybody out there have any suggestions for me, would like a good old USA made if possible !!! thanks for your suggestions !! john...

The problems with some of the heater cores are most now are made out of aluminum, the originals were copper/brass. In addition some of the manufacturers are selling heater cores at a reduced length so the hold down bracket will need to be modified. Your local auto parts store is a good source, also rockauto and other repro venders sell replacements. I got lucky when I did mine and found an original style replacement at OReileys.
