Today I'm reinstalling my resealed AC compressor and I have a concern with a relay for the clutch wiring.
I do not have a AC relay on the pax side fender well. The connector that I believe should connect to the AC relay has a Green and a Brown wire in it. The grn wire then continues to the hot side of the AC clutch. Clutch grounds to case mount at the clutch plug. brn wire goes to nothing. Connector is 2 wire L shaped.
The AC worked ok before dis assembly as it is currently wired.
My questions are do I need the relay and if I do need it how does it wire?
My CSM is nearly unreadable for the wiring diagrams.
Any help will be appreciated

 

Aw, c'mon, it's not that hard to read:




Your hold-in relay is missing. The A/C will work fine without it, but you lose the ability to run the compressor with the defroster.

I sure wish that I had diagrams as good as the ones you have.
Since I cant imagine needing the defroster while running the AC compressor here in Arizona, I think I'll leave well enough alone.
