Looking for shop/repair manual for '54 Olds Rocket 88. Does such a thing exist? Any ideas on where to find one?

ebay is your answer. Don't buy the reproductions or the CD version. The best are the ones that have a few greasy thumbprints on them. Here is one but shop ebay for price because it varies a lot.

Apparently by using "Ebay.co.uk" your item listed will automatically be listed in many foreign Ebay sites and not only the US...

thanks red. Good to hear from you! I bought some side moulding from you a year or so ago. I saw you followed olds dads brake booster conversion. Did you ever try it?

Seems like there is a shop manual and a maintenance manual. Which one would you recommend? Going to use when repairs necessary, not for show. Thanks.

You bought the hockey stick moldings for your 2-door sedan. I remember packing those things. You want the blue shop manual. It even has color schematics for the wiring in the back. Mine now has Gorilla tape on the outside for the binding. I just looked inside the front of mine and it has an original price listed of Two Dollars (exactly how it is printed). It has a dealer stamp inside from George T. McNaught Oldsmobile-Chevrolet in Stamford, N.Y. I looked at the maintenance manual and if you look closely you will notice it is for Canada. I compared the table of contents and page 15-1 to my shop manual and they are identical. Get a decent one so it doesn't fall apart. Mine is a little greasy and dog eared but I have used the heck out of it. The shop manual is the first thing anybody should buy when they get an old car.
