Where on a 303 engine is an oil passage fitting

I have a 53 Super 88 with a 303. Where can I find an oil passage for an oil pressure switch? I need to wire an oil pressure switch to an electrical fuel pump as a safety precaution. The internet said to wire it to the switch next to the oil filler tube. That is a coolant sensor/switch on my engine.
Thanks for any help.

The oil pressure sender is at the right rear corner of the engine.
It screws in to the oil filter adapter.
The switch should be one that closes at least 10 PSI.
You will need an extra fitting so that both the oil pressure sender and the safety switch have oil pressure.

I put one on the 54 I had. I also changed the oil filter adapter to one that used a spin on oil filter. It took a few fittings but it worked well. I did use a bypass switch to cut down on the cranking time.

Charlie Jones.....Thanks a lot. I was really hoping someone could answer that question about where an oil pressure outlet is. I will jack the car up and check it out. That will work fine. Today I bypassed the mechanical fuel pump and the car ran just fine. So I removed the mechanical pump and installed a block off plate I had in my junk can from some other car. And I plugged the vacuum line from the base of the carburetor. This just gives me time to decide to either try to find a rebuilder who can rebuild my mechanical pump, or maybe install a small electrical vacuum pump under the car to run the wiper motors. Anyway, thanks a lot for the help. It is appreciated.

I'm happy with the one they did for me.

Good morning, sorry to jump in on this late. If you're DIY inclined, I have had a great experience with Then and Now Automotive. They have kits or they can rebuild your unit. Here is a link to your kit: https://www.then-now-auto.com/produc...fuel-pump-kit/

If you want to call them, reach out to Lisa Pawlik - ljthen2@aol.com and she can be reached at 781-335-8860.

Good luck, David
