Vacuum line help on '72 Cutlass, please

Vacuum line help on '72 Cutlass, please

Hello all, while removing my kick panels today I noticed two vacuum lines loose. They run together and one has a red line and they attach to this:



I reinstalled them, but I don't know if they are correct. Anyone? And out of curiosity, what is this unit they are attached to?

That's the recirc valve for the A/C. It closes off the outside air from the cowl and recirculates inside air for MAX A/C. The correct colors are shown in the HVAC section of your Chassis Service Manual.
