trunk lettering O L D S M - O B I L E

I have had zero success in finding any info on letter hole placement. Could somebody...anybody measure distance from trunk centerline left and right, so I can get a start and stop point. I can handle the rest. Thanks.

Have you looked in the Fisher body manual on page 16-37?

The body manual doesn't show the actual piercing, but does show the layout. A good bodyman could translate that into the proper installation

I had a friend that was a Chevy guy work on my car once. He rearranged the letters to read S L O M O B I L E. I outran him at the track so I was ok with it.

Thanks all,

Looks like enough info to get it done. After being fooled by a most shady body man and having to strip all the body fill he applied (3/8" to 1/2' on the entire car) and debating parting it out I have secured someone I can trust and am moving on with the project.
I thought building a house was stressful... Thanks again.

My 72 is missing the letters and the factory holes are just sitting there! I can take pics and measure for you this weekend. I am out of town this week.
