Im building my 70 442 convertible as a 5 speed instead of a 4 speed. The car had no trans to reference, its all apart and before the underside of the floor can be painted, I need to figure out how far to move the tunnel hole.
I need a measurement from the center of the pivot on the shifter, forward to the face of the trans from a stock Muncie and console shifter.
Does anyone have a trans and shifter readily available to provide this measurement for me?
