Go to wildaboutcars.com and sign up, it's free. There are service manuals available online for members. Also, a lot of other good information there.

You can also buy hardcopy versions, either original or reproduction, on ebay or from various Olds literature sources that can be found in Hemmings Motor News or in OCA's Journey With Olds.

Keep in mind the printed versions are great because you can take them out to (or under) the car easily and are always ready if you need a quick torque spec or such.
Paper FTW!

I've had bad experiences with electronic versions of manuals (pages missing, bad quality, etc). I only buy original paper copies. Used originals can be found on ebay all day long, usually in the $15-$25 range.

At Wild About Cars www.wildaboutcars.com we strive to assure that all of our copies of the Service Manuals are complete - sometimes going to paper copies to fill in the blanks - and in most cases including color where it was color in the first place.

Many of our manuals were created from the original - and scanned in at 300 DPI. We assume that these manuals will be used for reference purposes and most our users use the copies from our site when they are doing work on their cars - printing out the pages needed so as to NOT damage their paper copy.

For those of you who show their car - I would suggest a clean original for display puroses and to use the CD or Wild About Cars copy for the reason cited above. Fact is our copies are free - so they are good to solve a problem, not for any other purpose.

Many of the CDs out there were created from GM's microfilm archive and reproduced on a photocopy style printer. This is what lessens the quality. I would also suggest that there are reproduction paper manuals out there made from the same microfilm and their quality is no better than the CD.

Also when buying a paper manual be careful to buy from a buyer with a good rating, many paper manuals are missing pages or so damaged as to be unusable. Try ours first and if that doesn't do the job, go get a good paper copy.
