Rotted body pieces

Can anyone tell me what the pieces are I have circled in red in the attached pictures? I am new to this and have no idea what they are called. It's a soft material that is rotting and is now brittle. Would like to replace them.

Thanks,
Greg

We presume you're talking about the Delta 88 convertible in the photo, which looks to be a '75? There are companies that make reproductions of those soft parts. Here's one of them.

Is that black mold on the parts?

They are called bumper fillers, and as Jaunty pointed out, repros are available. Most of the repros are hard ABS plastic, not the soft plastic originally.

Mike,
Unfortunately I believe it is black mold. Car was stored in a shed in Alabama for 10 years. I've got in Cali now.

Just wash it down with a solution of 50/50 water and household bleach with a shot of dish soap added and it will disappear in minutes. Don't lick your fingers or eat a sandwich till you wash up.... Tedd

Very true. However, they do work. Here's before and after photos of the fender-to-bumper filler areas on my '78 Toronado, which was repainted in July. These pieces were missing completely.

I bought the fillers from the site I mentioned (but do check out the ones suggested by oldcutlass as well), and the shop painted them and put them in. He told me that he did have to do some trimming to get them to fit, but I think they turned out great.

Tedd, Thanks for the hookup on the magic solution. Some pieces are crumbling and need to be replaced but I'll try to clean up the rest.

Jaunty75, Your Toronado looks great! Hopefully I can find someone to paint the pieces Horizon Blue!
Thanks,
Greg
