rebuild instrument mounting post 1967 442

Hi, doing some work behind my instrument panel and one of the mounting posts is pretty much gone. Is there a great way to deal with this?
When I pulled the screw out pieces of the mount fell off too.
I was thinking JB Weld and some plastic to build it up again.

I was also thinking about putting the original radio back in but the mounting where the dials has been hacked out by the previous owner.
Just don't understand when someone does this, they put in a crap radio to boot.

thanks
Dave

You may find helpful the post "Broken Console Repair" by ben442 in the "General Discussion" forum on this site. There are also some good findings if you just search online for ABS repairs. Maybe you shall find something that would work for you. Perhaps one of our members has some broken instrument panel parts that you can use to repair yours. Good luck.
