70-72 442 Headliners.... basket weave or perforated ??

I have asked many "experts" and gotten different answers. Is there any written source for a definitive answer ???

 

1969 was the last year for the basket weave headliner in a Cutlass/442. 1970 up use a non-perforated headliner according to both Fusick & Legendary. http://www.legendaryautointeriors.co...ileCatalog.pdf Don't go by the parts place listings. They show both kinds for 70. That's not correct. Fusick's site spells it out pretty good also.

 

I'm not convinced, since I've had more then a few with a perforated headliner. Anybody have GM docs or info to support either type ?
