OPGI 65' Fan Shroud
#2
Reason I was wondering was I installed a Champion Aluminum Radiator (so far so good), but I was unable to install the shroud in a position that had no fan interference. I'm going to have to fab some brackets and contour the shroud to rad interface. Not hard to do, just time consuming. Anyway that is why I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience with the shroud. Thanks for the input, Doug

After getting screwed by OPGI on some repop Chevelle console parts, I'll never do business with them again,
They didn't bother to tell me that the parts were on backorder; when they finally admitted they were backordered, they lied about the delivery dates. "They're about a month out..." month after month they lied to me. Eventually, I got them to admit that the factory was in Communist China instead of "we own the factory" like it was in California.
When I finally did get the parts...the lens was scratched.
BE VERY CAREFUL when dealing with OPGI. They've got NO ethics.

Not sure when they started making these nice to see the 65 had a thin metal shroud the 442 got a plastic/fiberglass one
I know bro has bought the business and they are reproduced to the original specs he but I don’t think they are as cheap as the opgi that I just looked up.

if you end up getting it please let us know how it works out

oldstata,
I looked it up on the link you provided, it's the same one I got from OPGI. I'm thinking I may need to replace my motor mounts (I'm sure they are original or pretty close to it), things are riding low in the engine bay and after spending about 3 1/2 hours on getting it in with no fan interference, thought I'd take a step back from it and think. First, I thought I'd fab up some brackets but, after looking I think I'll throw a new set of mounts on it and see how it goes from there, if that doesn't cure it I'll look at making some brackets for it. Thanks again for the insight and the link, I'll keep it posted as I go forward on it, Doug
