Just had new manifold back exhaust installed. I chose the 1950 gp. (Glass pack). 24". They sound amazing, exactly what I was looking for. Ok. I drove it around for about an hour. Noticed it popping a bit at idle. I have a feeling this is just the new mufflers and pipes sooting up. Am I correct and after a week or so it'll settle down or should I return because I chose the wrong system?? Oh my engine is 455 with ram air

 

Assume it's dual exhaust? Did you install an x or h pipe?

That's usually what it takes to get rid of the pop and cackle stuff......
