needing pics

I am looking for some pics of an engine compartment for a 1964 Olds Dynamic 88 with a 330. I am currently restoring after some major mods in the past and need to know what it is supposed to look like. Thanks for your help.

If it's a Dynamic 88, the only factory installed engine in 1964 would have been a 394. The 330 came in the Jetstar 88. Which do you have?

it must be a mixed breed, when I bought the Dynamic 88 in 95 it had a 330 in it. Being younger, I removed the 330, put it in storage, and installed a 455 for more playing power. Don't know if it was the original engine, just the engine that it came with when I got it.

The motor mounting points on the frame are completely different for a Jetstar 88 with the 330 and the Dynamic 88 with the 394. The brackets are welded to the frame and not easily interchanged without a torch and arc welder. If you think it's a Dynamic 88 because the fender emblems say that, then in all likelyhood you have a Jetstar that has had the front end sheet metal swapped at some point (the fenders are identical except for the emblems and trim). The VIN will tell you for sure what it is.

The vin number starts out 844L which means 8 cylinder 1964 dynamic 88 built in the plant in New Jersey. Is this correct?

844L translates to 1964 Dynamic 88, Linden NJ assembly plant. The 8 indicating V8 was kinda redundant on the 1964 FSC since they were all V8 cars. Unless someone had plans to stick that Busix in the Jetstar and they fell thru...

I don't think it's that unusual to find a Dynamic that has had an engine transplant, though it should have left the factory with a 394 under the hood. 394 were expensive to rebuild 25 years ago.

Does the car have the 330 motor mount "ears" welded to the crossmember, and do you see any evidence of the original 394 front mount on it? What transmission does it have? more to the point, is it a PNDSLR sequence or a PRNDL, or something different that would indicate a transmission swap? What does the right side dashboard nameplate say?

The motor mounts are on the back and are welded, Don't remember for sure but don't remember any front motor mount or even if any had been removed. It is a PRNDL but not sure what the tranny is and the right dashboard name plate says Dynamic 88.
