Can anyone tell me the correct way to position the 442 emblems on a 1964 ? Is there a template available ?

 

if you can find an assy manual or a service manual, it will be in there..ive never seen one for a 64 olds though...ever...i am sure they made them, just never saw one

they have measurements etc for stuff like emblems

 

Not only are the measurements not in the service manual, the 442 itself isn't even mentioned in the manual. The 1964 service manual was printed long before the 442 was released in spring 1964.

 

it has to be in a supplement or an assy manual, they where updated thru the year

if not there, i would look at a 65 parts and illustration catalog...a dealership catalog..they go back 10 years, and by 65 the info would be there...i dont know about location though..theres 2 diff catalogs..one is generic and about 6-8 in thick and the other is very very detailed, prob called a master and 12 inches thick it has copies of the PIM and easy to tell..it has yellow and green pages in it..ive had one of the detailed manuals in my life...ive sold about 100 of the lesser detailed..

 

Are you cloning a 64 442? Yes, they made a template. I have that template number somewhere in my binder of 64 facts.
