lighting problems-71 cutlass

I have a restored 71 cutlass with an issue in the lights. When lights are on right blinker doesn't work other wise it flashes fine. Also when I hit the brakes the front running lights and the aftermarket temp gauge light comes on. Where is a good place to start for either problem. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

You have a filament in one of your right side light bulbs that has broken loose in the bulb and is laying across the other element. That is why the lights on the front come on when you step on the brakes.

Hey thanks FastBrian,
I just got off work and was planning on checking side and tail light bulbs. So it sounds like you have expererienced this before. Thanks for your help, I will let you know the outcome!
