Hurst Shifter his and hers

I am installing a jurst from one 72 to another and have found the holes are not in the same palce on the car i want to put it in. i am swappin it out for a standard bucket seat shifter auto matic. does any body know of an article or where I could get pictures of the process. I have my 72 manual but it does not show the hurst with enough detail.

installing hiz-n-herz

I did this on 1 of my droptops. It was about 8 years ago (I'm really giving away my age now) If I remember correctly the console falls into the exact same screwholes the drilling comes into play on the 4 screws that hold down the dual gate shifter assembly. I know for fact the shifter cable is different. It pretty well falls into place once you get the cable hooked up like it suppose to go. Theres foam on it where it goes through the tunnel and it lines up the shifter pretty well with the console, but check it all out before you mark the 4 holes. I included a pic of mine with the console installed so you can be inspired (lol) Good luck! Oldsdroptop

I have detailed pictures of hole locations and also a dimensioned drawing showing where mounting of the shifter should be in relation to left and right side rocker and distance from dash.

You can than locate the console to the shifter.

PM me your email address and i will send you all the info you need.
