Glove box lock

I have a 65 Cutlass and need to remove the locks from both the glove box and the console. Any certain tool needed or do they just unthread from the lock mechanism? And also can I have these locks match the trunk key by changing the tumblers?

The '65 lock mechanism is a bit different from the later mechanism, but this advice may help with it.

Good luck!

That's a great tip! Thanks for the info. Now the question is can I get a key made for the lock with out an original key?

A locksmith should be able to do it, no problem, or he can re-pin it for your door key.

I'm not a Cutlass guy, but on the big cars it's usually just a couple of small screws.
