Fuel pump eccentric for 71 olds 350

Good afternoon!

Had a catastrophic failure the past weekend while driving my 71 Olds cutlass. (350 rocket, turbo 350 trans) The bolt that held the eccentric lobe for the fuel pump to the timing chain had worked its way loose over time and fired itself into the back side of the timing cover causing the water pump blades to get pushed into the water pump case and lock up. The fuel pump arm tore into the plate that was set behind the eccentric lobe and chewed it all to pieces. The timing sprocket mounting tab sheared off in the old cam, but the cam seems intact (it still turns the distributor and spins smoothly). The crank feels fine too. I have ordered a new cam and double roller timing set, and have located the fuel pump eccentric lobe but I can't find the metal plate that mounts between the fuel pump lobe and the timing gear. Does anyone have a part name or number for that piece I can use to track one down and order a new one? I will post a pic tonight when I get home of the damaged parts for reference if needed.

1971 Olds 350
Mild build, .030 bore, flat top pistons
Turbo 350 auto with trans-go shift kit, 2300 stall TC
Hooker long tube headers
Edelbrock 7111 intake with crossover blocked
Holley street demon 750 carb
Comp cams muscle cam (.474 lift, can't remember duration off the top of my head just ordered it 113 lobe separation)

There is nothing that goes between the fuel pump eccentric and the timing gear.

Make sure you loctite and torque the bolt. You said the crank looks good, so I assume the engine is out? Make sure none of the valves are bent, the older engines usually bend valves when the timing chain fails.

I figured it out, and also felt like a moron too. I had apparently bolted the crankshaft oil slinger to the cam sprocket due to a lack of experience and/or lack of good documentation photos. Those are now ordered as well. That's probably what caused all the trouble in the first place. Here's to hoping nothing else is broken!

so you need a new oil slinger, or you got one already

I ordered one, OPG had the fuel pump eccentric, cam bolt, and oil slinger. Fusick had the timing cover, and Comp Cams is sending a cam and double roller timing set. I'm ordering an engine overhaul gasket set and some assembly lube and break in oil from Summit Racing this morning. That should have me covered other than RTV which I can get locally. I still can't believe I did that, but at least I know what I did.
