So farI haven't been able to find specific front springs for my Vista Beater. Rock Auto, Moog, and other sites don't have a listing. I attempted to order a set earlier and the local parts store couldn't find a specific listing either. He talked with the Badgleys (local Olds experts) and they thought that probably a set for a Cutlass/442 w/air would be a good fit. I tend to agree but not sure. My car is a 350 w/air. I'm sure that the Vista Cruiser is the heaviest A body. I am thinking about ordering some springs for a Cutlass/442 455 w/air. I'm guessing those would be the heaviest. I don't want to lower the car, actually a little higher would be good for me. What have you guys done? Thanks, Greg

 

If you look up the actual specs of your springs including the end types. You can use this chart to cross something that will work.

I used 1970 442 455 with air on my 70 vista and the height looks stock. My motor is a diesel converted stroker, M20, with vintage air and ss1 15" rims.

 

That's because from the firewall forward your car is a Cutlass. Get Cutlass springs for the same engine and equipment.

The assembly manual has a table showing each series with option combos, this table list spring rates. You can use this to match up to your Vista.

Thanks, Don. Yep I found the original Gm part # and put it in to RockAuto and came up w/ Moog 5400. I already received them. Back to work again!
