Fastening hood chrome question

71 supreme with the faux louvers, how does one fasten the chrome strip to the rear edge of the hood. I had it on with some strip caulking and it’s held but doesn’t seem proper.

That stainless strip is held tight by friction it pinches very tightly on the thin rear edge of the hood. If its loose maybe so eone trued to open it up to fit an oai hood.

Yes, the rear hood trim fits very tightly. I had to open the trim on mine up after repainting the car as the repaint was thicker than the factory paint and the trim was even tighter due to the thicker paint.
