E85 and Fuel Sending Units

Does E85 destroy fuel sending units? Had a RobbMc fuel sending unit and it went bad in just a few months after running E85.

Define "bad"?
There's nothing to really go wrong unless the sock falls apart or the sealing ring cracks. But if you're running corn you probably don't want the sock and run good pre and post filters anyway.

What model and year of car? Certainly it doesn't destroy sending units in cars designed originally to run E-85. The only cars running E-85 that I've seen came that way from the factory, and I assume the factory put in a sending unit that can withstand exposure to E-85

RobbMc fuel pumps are E85 compatible, I would think their pickup/sending units are too. All it takes is a phone call or email to them to find out.
