Decoding Starter Stamping

Per the attached image, I have a starter with the following stamped on one end:

1998590 9 K 5 2

Also a "B" is stamped on the cylindrical body of the unit.

Any help with decoding this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Chevy 1989 October 5th. If it is still original it should have a drive end housing that has the staggered bolt pattern with 10MM mounting holes. The opening in the drive end housing will be a small square .
