Could someone explain this cowl tag?

I know it is 1970 and I believe the original exterior color was a canary yellow with white stripes and pearl interior.

Sebring Yellow, maybe. The "- -" paint code indicates special order colors, which were Sebring Yellow, Agean Aqua, Nugget Gold, or Rally Red for 1970. Could have been any one of those four.

"10B" means built second week (B) of October (10). With this being a "70 model, that would mean October 1969 and therefore built relatively early in the model year, which is kind of cool.

ST 70= 1970
34477= 4-4-2 Sports Coupe
253674= Body Production # (not related to VIN#)
LAN= Lansing, Michigan Assembly plant
TR 937= White Bucket Seats (white interior)
PNT - - = Special Order Color as Joe mentioned. One dash represents lower body color and the other dash would represent top, convert or roof covering (vinyl) color
10B= Second Week Of October
B85= Chrome Side Window Sill Moldings

Thanks guys I know it was yellow with white when it was bought off the lot so that explains things. Must have been Sebring Yellow is there any way to tell what special color it was other than just knowing? Just curious encase I wanted to paint it one of the other special order colors?

The only way to tell what color it was originally is with a build sheet, window sticker, dealers order sheet or something of the like which is fairly uncommon to have. Although build sheets have been found in the darndest places. Also a good bodyman could sand it down to see what lies below the paint and or some inconspicuous area that may not have been re-painted could shed some light as well.

I cut up a 70 W30 automatic car,that was sebring yellow,with white stripe & pearl interior.It was still wearing it's original paint when I got it,but was crushed real hard in the front,and actually buckled the firewall and the floors.

Wow a w30 in that trim, well at least I know now that there was more than one w30 like this, mine needs a lot of work ...
That's why I am searching for a solid parts car. I have yet to see a reg cutlass in Sebring yellow... Read somewhere that a few w31 s have this combo , but have not seen one.

I believe there is a nice 70 W-30 with this color combo in the Atlanta area.
