Correct Engine Color

I am lucky to have repair manuals (2Volumes) for my 64 Dynamic 88. I have all the engine/ trim specs. The color code for the engine block has me confused. I see full resto projects of all 64 engines in videos, mags and on web sites and they all seem to have differant colors.
I painted the valve covers a teal color ( that is what the GM paint guide showed and what I could detect after a careful cleaning of the covers) question is... what is correct color for my engine block and did I paint valve covers the wrong color???

If it's a low-compression 2-barrel engine it's supposed to be light green. All high-compression 1964 394's 2 or 4 barrel were red. Starfire engines had silver painted valve covers.

Thanks,
So valve covers are correct color. Would you paint engine block the light green?
