Does anybody know if they made a Dual Gate shifter assy & console for a 70,71,72 cutlass. Thanks,Tom

 

Somebody was just looking at a 70 S with a factory dual gate, so yes.

The plastic console body is the same for all 1970-72 cars with any shifter (manual or automatic). There are scribe lines on the underside where it gets cut for either the dual gate or the manual trans boot adapter. The dual gate was optional in all three years (RPO code W-26). The dual gate uses a unique top plate and woodgrain that is shorter than the one used with the normal AT shifter. The woodgrain pattern differs among the three years.
