Charlotte,NC -area Shop recommendations

For those owners in the Charlotte/Metrolina area looking for knowledge and reasonable mechanics (beyond what you can do in your own garage), let me throw out a recommendation:

Ronald Byrum, Owner
Byrum's Automotive
1128 Caldwell Williams Road
Charlotte, NC 28216
704-392-8525

Excellent work, extremely careful of your car, great old school mechanics and more than 50 years GM parts in stock.

That is great to know. I'm only a few minutes from them. Which car did you take in to them?

Ronnie has worked on my 98, my Corvette and currently has my D88 in house today. Had a starter issue and upon finding out he could no longer get one thru his parts jobber, took mine to a rebuilder where it was rebuilt, blasted, polished and clearcoated. It looks brand new!

My turn signal cam was also sheared and I had no hopes of finding another. I asked Ronnie about it, he disappears into the stock room and comes out with a GM factory original turn signal cam from 1964, still in original packaging!

He's worth the trip.

He's also a pro with transmissions (rotoways, hydramatic, jetaway, turbo hydramatic, etc). Seriously, look this guy up.
