It is non-trivial to get the frame tab into the exact, correct position. There are no easy ways, no alignment holes or nearby holes that help enough. I recommend putting a block, bellhousing, and transmission into the frame with transmission crossmember, and then install the Z bar dead straight up and down, fore and aft, so the tab will be exactly where it belongs. Get a good welder to attach it, too. The tabs are being reproduced, or you can make one if you are very handy and can get the right bends in it.

BB, sure
68-72, sure
No, 68 headers for 350 DO NOT pop right into a 67 with 330.
As for the clutch ROD, sure, the GM A-bodies no doubt all use the same rod. But, if you are into this level of alteration, surely you have a cutoff tool, torch, and welder. ANY rod from any GM truck, or just about anything, can be cut, bent, and welded to suit. For the '69 project I did a while back, the rod I had [came with the pkg] did not fit- hit on the firewall. I drew what I needed on the welding bench and then cut bent and welded until it fit right and worked right.
