What is the name or part number of the hose running from the snorkel on the air cleaner towards the radiator? Mine is being held together by HVAC tape purely due to how brittle it's become from age. I can't locate the part to order a replacement.
What's it supposed to fit? Are we to just guess? Makes a difference. It appears it's a big car based on the brake master cylinder and rad shroud, and it's an 84 based on the hose markings and booster color.
It's called an "Adapter". But yeah, fresh air intake hose is what it really is. Part number is 22505348. Doesn't appear that anyone has one. The 348 p/n has a rub plate on it for the alternator protection. The Cutlass version is molded to be necked down in that area to clear the alternator, but same p/n is used with A/C or not.
They are hard to find and nobody seems to make a "universal" tube that is worth a darn. Ive been trying to find one for my 84 S-10 with no luck. Fortunately the on on the 307 in my Wifes car is in good shape.
The factory hose has been out of production for decades. Aftermarket replacement hoses have been out of production for at least ten years. I scored two aftermarket hoses on ebay a couple of years ago.
Would any of you know if the hose from an 80's 305 or 350 would fit? It looks very similar to the one I had on the 350tbi on my 91 k5 blazer. C/K series trucks are plentifully being parted out where I live.
