Hello,

Does someone know the function of the marked cable/wire? Is it for the Kick-Down of the automatic gear?

That's the kickdown cable for a TH350 trans. There is normally a swaged end on it that passed through the grommet on the accelerator and a metal clip over that.

One question again. Do you know if it's correct that the cable goes directly to the transmission and not to the caburator? The garage told me that there must be a kickdown cable comming to/from the caburator to the transmisson.

But they also told me that the cable from the accelerator is not for the kickdown....

Your shop apparently does not know Oldsmobile's, they are looking at a Chevrolet setup. The cable runs from the pedal to the transmission. Does not go to the carb.
