I have a new vaccum thermostat that fits inside of the 1971 Cutlass air cleaner (mine was missing). How do you secure through the two holes in the air cleaner ? (this is that green colored vaccum thermswitch in the bottom of the air cleaner)>

Use 2 speed-nut clips like this. I think the #6-32 is the right size, it might be the next size larger.

The factory used a press-on metal clip that looked like this. Note that the barbs on the clip also retained the hoses.
