Access to A/C Receiver-Drier on 68 Cutlass
Hi All,
I am getting ready to rebuild the A/C system on my '68 Cutlass Vista Cruiser. Have new hoses, compressor, POA valve, etc.
I will need to replace the receiver drier but it is kind of sandwiched in by the radiator. What is the best way to gain access to it? Do I remove the whole top metal piece that surrounds the hood latch? Do I need to renove radiator? Just not sure what best approach is.
Thanks,
Mike

Not the part that is around the latch but the part that holds the rad down which is easy to remove and if you need more access then remove the lower deflector as mentioned above... and you could also remove the grille... carefully

Hi Mike, I'm getting ready to embark on the same journey... I'm looking to replace the receiver drier on my 68 and wanted to know the best way to access it. Can you let me know which way worked best for you? Did you end up going through the grille?
Thanks,
Thomas
